Sam White

Sam White is an Assistant Director in the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) in the United Kingdom. He is responsible for establishing the Centres for Agricultural Innovation and communication of Agri-Tech Strategy activity with stakeholders.

Sam was previously responsible for BIS’s policies and programmes promoting business angel investment in small and medium sized firms, and has worked on a range of higher education issues, including university-business collaboration, research funding, and postgraduate education. Prior to the Civil Service he worked at Imperial College in the Strategy Unit allocating £150 million of funding to the Departments, and worked as a post-doctoral scientist researching biophysics at the University of Cambridge.
